September 30th

はじみましで!わたしはモニカです。わたしはにじゅっさいです。ちゅうごくからきました。わたしはおととしにU.S.Aへきました。わたしわColumbiaたいがくのがくせいです。どうぞよろしく。

My family is from a city that closed to Japan, Shanghai. Some words in Shanghai local language is very similar to Japanese and sometimes I can’t even tell the difference between them. That make me curious on what Japanese truly like and how similarity it shares with my mother tongue. Also, Japanese products and culture are everywhere in our daily life: Comic book, digital camera, my favorite brand Muji and so on. All of them make me believe that life will be much more convenience if I can understand Japanese. With all of these curiosity and good willing I start my Japanese study.

After four weeks study, I realized I can read most of the Japanese words, which made me feel really excited. I think Japanese is a language that relatively easy to get start but hardly to be continued. For now, I am still a little confused of those sentences for polite using, especially on how to use them.
